PNG to JPG
PNG files are big. Turn them into JPG to make them smaller and easier to send or upload, with a background colour in place of transparency. Do several at once. It runs in your browser and your pictures are not uploaded.
This tool needs JavaScript. If you still see this after a few seconds, JavaScript is switched off in your browser or the page did not load completely: turn JavaScript on or reload the page.
How to use it
- Press "Choose pictures" or drop them here. Pick several at once if you like.
- Adjust the background colour or quality if you want to (the defaults are fine).
- Press "Convert and save". The JPG file goes to your downloads; several pictures come as one zip.
Your pictures never leave your device
This tool opens the pictures from your device, works on them in your browser's memory and saves new files straight back to your device. Nothing is uploaded to freesabai's servers or anyone else's, and no picture or file name is kept: close the page and it is all gone. The site only counts how many times this page is opened and how many times a result is saved, never a file name, size or content, and you can switch the counting off at the bottom of the page (see the privacy policy).
Good to know
- Photos get much smaller as JPG, but screenshots, text and logos can look slightly soft at the edges. If that matters, keep them as PNG.
- A see-through PNG gets a background colour instead; set it above (white by default).
- To make a file small enough for a limit such as 200 KB, use Compress image.
- The picture is drawn again as a new file, so the hidden data in it (EXIF), such as the GPS place, camera and date, does not go into the converted file, and the way up is applied first, so a portrait photo stays upright.
- An animated GIF or WebP becomes a still picture, its first frame only.
- A picture with a wide colour profile (such as Display P3) is converted to sRGB and the profile is not kept, so colours may shift slightly.
- A very large picture on a phone (over about 16 million pixels) is brought down to what the device can hold as it is opened. For the full original size, use a computer.
