Photo size for applications
Many application forms want a photo within a range of file sizes: the Thai civil service exam (ก.พ.) asks for a JPG of 40 to 100 KB, and too big or too small is refused. This tool brings a photo into the range, making it smaller or bigger as needed, always as a JPG.
Getting the tool ready…This tool needs JavaScript. If this note stays for more than a few seconds, JavaScript is off in your browser or the page did not finish loading: turn JavaScript on or reload the page.
How to use it
- Choose the photos (JPG, PNG or WebP straight from a phone or camera).
- Pick the form's rule, or "Custom" and enter the smallest and biggest size and the longest side from the announcement.
- Press "Fit the photos" and download. The file is a JPG, ready for the application system.
How it gets into the range
The photo is made no longer than the chosen side, then the highest JPG quality whose file is not over the biggest size is searched for (1 KB counted as 1,000 bytes, so the file is under the limit whichever way a site counts). If the file comes out under the smallest size, the best quality is tried first, then the picture is enlarged a little at a time until the file is big enough. If the original is so big that even the lowest quality is over, the picture is made smaller step by step. Every photo is drawn again, so no hidden data (EXIF, such as where it was taken) goes with it.
Good to know
- Thai civil service exam (ก.พ.): the latest announcement asks for a JPG photo of 40 to 100 KB, which is the tool's default; the announcement of the year you apply is what counts.
- The photo should face the camera on a plain background as each form says. This tool changes only the file size and pixels, not the crop or the background; crop first with Crop and rotate.
- For a plain "not over" with no minimum, set the smallest size to 0, or use Compress image.
Your pictures never leave your device
This tool works in your browser's memory and saves the new file back to your device. Nothing is uploaded to freesabai's server or anyone else's, and no picture or file name is kept: close the page and it is gone. The site only counts that this page was opened and how many times a result was saved (never the file name, size or content; you can turn counting off at the bottom of the site, see the privacy policy).

Questions and answers
What size must a photo for the Thai civil service exam be?
The latest announcement asks for a JPG of 40 to 100 KB. Choose the photo, keep the default rule and press "Fit the photos" for a JPG in that range. Check the announcement of your year before sending.
My photo is under the minimum. Can it be made bigger?
Yes. The tool tries the best quality first, then enlarges the picture a little at a time until the file reaches the minimum. A very small original may not get there; the tool says so.
Is the photo sent anywhere, and is hidden data removed?
Nothing is sent; it all runs in your browser. Every photo is drawn again, so the file carries no EXIF such as the place it was taken or the phone model.
