RAM Tidy
PC slowing down because the memory is full? RAM Tidy shows how much memory each program holds, biggest first, and marks the ones that hold a lot but have not been used for a while as "Suggested". Tick them and close them in one go. Each program is asked to close the way its ✕ does, so it can still ask you to save your work. No need to restart the PC so often.
What it does
- See what holds the memoryEvery part of one program is added up into one row (Chrome's 27 processes are one row), biggest first, with the program's icon and name.
- Tells you what to closeThe "Suggested" badge goes on programs with a window that hold a lot of memory and have not been used for at least 20 minutes. A program you are using, or one that is working hard, is never suggested.
- Closes politely firstIt asks the way the ✕ button does, so a program with unsaved work asks you first as usual. Only if it is still open do you get a Force close button, and you choose.
- Windows' own parts are off limitsWindows' parts and antivirus software are kept apart at the bottom and cannot be ticked, so a slip of the mouse cannot hang the PC.
- 🍃 EcoMakes a program you keep open use less CPU (Windows 11's efficiency mode): a cooler PC and longer battery life.
- Switch off programs that start with WindowsOne switch per program, like Disable in Task Manager. Nothing is uninstalled; switch it back on at any time.
- Windows tools many people don't know about13 of them in one place, each with a line on what it is for: Task Manager, Resource Monitor, Disk Cleanup, Storage Sense, uninstalling programs, checking memory for faults, reliability history, Windows Update and more.
- Tells you when it is time to restartSays how many days Windows has run, and when Fast startup is on, that Shut down does not really reset Windows and Restart does.

To check the file hasn't been tampered with, compare the SHA-256 above with the output of Get-FileHash RamTidy-1.0.0.zip in PowerShell.
Getting started
- Download the zip above, right-click it → Extract All… into a folder of your own, such as Documents or a USB stick. Don't run it from inside the zip, and don't keep it in Program Files: the program needs to write files beside itself when it updates.
- Double-click RamTidy.exe. The first time, a notice about usage statistics appears: read it and click Got it.
- On the Memory and programs tab, the memory of the whole PC is at the top; scroll down to Programs that are open.
- Tick the programs you no longer need (or press Select suggested), then Close selected on the bar at the bottom. What happened to each program shows above the list; one that is still open has a Force close button for you to choose.
- On the Start with Windows tab, switch off the programs that need not start with the PC. Next time the PC starts faster, with more memory free.
The first time you run it, Windows may show a blue "Windows protected your PC" screen because the program is not signed with a paid certificate. That doesn't mean it has a virus. If you downloaded it from this site, click More info (the link under the warning), then the Run anyway button that appears (once).
Good to know
- Nothing closes by itself: a program is closed only when you press the button. A program with no window (running in the background) can only be force closed (End task), so you are asked every time.
- There is no "clean RAM" button like the RAM cleaners that squeeze every program's memory so the number drops: those programs then have to load it back from the disk, and the PC gets slower. Memory Windows uses as a cache is handed to programs at once when they need it; there is no need to clear it.
- "Not used for…": RAM Tidy only knows which program is in front while it is open itself. Leave it open (minimised is fine) and its suggestions get better.
- Programs run as administrator cannot be closed from here, because RAM Tidy does not ask for administrator rights. Close them from their own window, or use Task Manager.
- Start with Windows: the switches change entries for the account you are using. Entries for every account, and apps from the Microsoft Store, are changed on Windows' own "Startup apps" page (there is a button to open it).
- 🍃 Eco frees no memory; it only makes that program use less CPU when other work is waiting. It ends when the program is closed.
Requirements
- 64-bit Windows 10 or Windows 11. Looking at memory and closing programs needs no internet connection (the internet is used only for ads, usage statistics and updates).
- The program's window uses WebView2, which comes with Windows (without it, the program opens in your default browser instead).
- The program is in English or Thai: it picks the language from Windows and you can switch under ⚙️ Settings → ภาษา / Language.
Ads and removing them
Every feature of RAM Tidy is free. It shows a small ad bar at the bottom of the window (one line of text, or a picture of 468×60, 728×90, 970×90 or 320×50, scaled down when the window is narrow) and, when the window is wide enough, an ad box beside the list of programs (text, or a picture of 300×250 or 300×600, scaled down to fit the window's height). To remove the ads, ask for a key at contact@freesabai.com, then click Remove ads on the bar, paste the key into Ad-removal key and click Enter key. Keys are checked on your computer, without the internet.
Privacy
The list of programs on your computer, and when you used each, stay in RAM Tidy's memory only: nothing is written to a file, and it is gone when the program closes. No other program is run (no taskkill, no PowerShell). Nothing about this computer, no specs, no machine or serial numbers, no computer name or user name, and not the list of programs on it, is sent anywhere. RAM Tidy sends only a usage report at most once a day (a random ID for the installation that the program made itself, not taken from the hardware, the version, the Windows version, the Windows language and region, whether a key is in use, and how often each ad was shown). The first time it opens, the window shows a notice about this before anything is sent. Switch it off by clicking Usage statistics: on under ⚙️ Settings → Privacy. You are still told about new versions, because the latest version number comes with the ads the program already downloads. When you click to update the program, it downloads the new version from freesabai.com and sends nothing else. The full details are in our privacy policy.
Updating and removing
- When there's a new version of RAM Tidy, even with usage statistics off, a strip under the top of the window says the new version is out (Later hides the strip until the program is next opened and leaves an ⬆ Update to button with the new version number at the top of the window, next to ⚙️ Settings, for later). Click Update now on the strip, or that button, and the program asks first; click Update now and it downloads the new version from freesabai.com, checks our signature, then closes and starts again by itself. Your settings stay; other files in its folder are only replaced when they are RAM Tidy's own, such as the README.txt from the zip. (Click See the download page if you'd rather download it yourself from the program's download page on freesabai.com.)
- To check yourself at any time, go to ⚙️ Settings → Check for a new version (the program asks freesabai.com only when you click this button). If the check fails (for example without internet), the program opens its download page on freesabai.com. The program never downloads a new version without your click.
- If it can't update itself (for example its folder can't be written to, or the download fails the checks), it opens the program's download page on freesabai.com instead. You can also close the program and replace RamTidy.exe with the new one; your settings stay.
- To remove: close the program and delete its folder. What it remembers about this computer (the language, the ad-removal key and the random ID for the statistics) is in %LOCALAPPDATA%\RamTidy; you can delete that too. Programs you switched off under Start with Windows stay off, because that is Windows' own setting: switch them back on from Windows' "Startup apps" page.

Questions and answers
Do RAM cleaners really make a PC faster?
Mostly not. A typical RAM cleaner squeezes every program's memory so the number drops, but those programs then have to load their data back from the disk, so the PC gets slower, and memory Windows uses as a cache is handed to programs at once anyway. That is why RAM Tidy has no clean-RAM button: it finds the programs that hold a lot of memory but are not being used, so you close just those.
Will I lose unsaved work if I close a program with RAM Tidy?
No. A program with a window is asked to close the way its ✕ button does, so if there is unsaved work it asks you first as usual. Force closing (End task), which loses unsaved work, happens only when you press the Force close button yourself and confirm.
How is it different from Windows Task Manager?
Task Manager lists everything that runs, hundreds of entries. RAM Tidy adds every part of one program into one row, shows how long each program has gone unused, suggests what to close, closes several politely at once and keeps Windows' own parts out of reach. For anything deeper, its Windows tools tab opens Task Manager and Windows' other tools.
Does RAM Tidy send the list of programs on my PC anywhere?
No. The list of programs and when they were used stay in RAM Tidy's memory only and are not written to a file. All it sends is a usage report at most once a day (a random ID, the version, the Windows version and language), which you can switch off under ⚙️ Settings → Privacy.
