ShareLocal
Send files between computers at the office or at home: drag a file into the window, and within seconds the other computer can save it. No shared folders to set up, no USB stick, nothing sent over the internet.
ShareLocal's screens are in Thai.
What it does

Getting started
- Download the zip file above, right-click it → Extract All…, and copy the folder to every computer that will share files.
- Double-click ShareLocal.exe on each computer. Its window opens by itself.
- The first time only, Windows Firewall asks: tick Private networks and click Allow access.
- Drag files into the window. On the other computer, click บันทึก (Save) and the file goes to your Downloads folder.
Close the window and the program shuts itself down within seconds, deleting everything that was shared.
The first time, Windows may show a blue "Windows protected your PC" screen. That's because the program isn't signed with a paid certificate yet; it doesn't mean there's a virus. If you downloaded it from this site, click More info and then Run anyway (once).
To check the file hasn't been tampered with, compare the SHA-256 above with the output of Get-FileHash ShareLocal-1.0.0.zip in PowerShell.
Can't see each other?
- The firewall is the usual cause. If you cancelled the first prompt or only ticked Public, double-click allow-firewall.bat (included) and click Yes.
- Type the IP address shown at the bottom left of one computer into the other with the + IP button. Use this when the Wi-Fi keeps devices apart, or the computers are on different subnets.
Use it on a network you trust
ShareLocal sends files across the local network without encryption. It's meant for office and home networks, not public Wi-Fi. Computers in the same group can see the names of shared files and download them, but only the computer that shared a file can add or remove it.
Requirements
- Windows 10 or Windows 11, with all computers on the same local network or Wi-Fi.
- The program's window opens in Microsoft Edge, which comes with Windows (without Edge it uses Chrome or your default browser).
- Sending files needs no internet. The program's screens are in Thai.
Ads and removing them
Every feature of ShareLocal is free. It shows a small ad bar (one line of text, or a 468×60 picture) above the bottom of the window. To remove it, ask for a key at contact@freesabai.com, then click ปิดโฆษณา (remove ads) on the bar and paste the key. Keys are checked on your computer, without the internet.
Privacy
Shared files and their names never leave your local network. ShareLocal sends only a usage report at most once a day (a random ID for the installation, the version, the Windows version, the language, whether a key is in use, and how often ads were shown). The first time it opens, the window shows a notice about this before anything is sent. Switch it off in the middle of the bar at the very bottom of the window by clicking สถิติการใช้งาน: เปิด (usage statistics: on); you then won't be told about new versions. On your local network, ShareLocal announces the computer's name so other copies can find it, and it keeps a log of its last run (including the names of shared files) in %TEMP%\sharelocal.log until the next launch. Updating and removing
- When there's a new version, a button appears at the top of the window; clicking it opens this page. The program never downloads or installs anything by itself.
- To update: close the program and replace ShareLocal.exe with the new one.
- To remove: close the program and delete the folder. The settings it remembers are in %LOCALAPPDATA%\ShareLocal and its log is %TEMP%\sharelocal.log; you can delete them too.
