Clip Downloader

Getting started

1. Download the zip file above, right-click it → Extract All…, and put the folder somewhere of yours, such as Documents. Don't run it from inside the zip, and avoid Program Files: the program keeps its tools and settings next to itself.
2. Double-click ClipDownloader.exe. Its window opens by itself.
3. The first time only, click ติดตั้ง (install) for yt-dlp and FFmpeg. The program downloads them from GitHub into the bin folder next to itself.
4. Paste a clip's link at the top, click วิเคราะห์ (analyse), pick a quality and click ↓ ดาวน์โหลด (download). Files go to Videos\Clip Downloader (change it under ⚙️ ตั้งค่า, settings).

Only download what you have the right to

Use it only for clips you own, have the owner's permission for, or that the site allows you to download. Many sites forbid downloading in their terms of use, and copyrighted works are protected by law. The program does not unlock copy-protected (DRM) clips. You are responsible for how you use it.

A clip won't download?

• Update yt-dlp. Video sites change often. If a correct link won't analyse, click อัปเดต (update) under ⚙️ ตั้งค่า (settings) → เครื่องมือ (tools).
• Embedded players on other sites sometimes need to know which page they were opened from (the Referer). The program fills it in for you; you can change it under ตัวเลือกขั้นสูง (advanced options).

Requirements

• 64-bit Windows 10 or Windows 11, and an internet connection.
• The program's window uses WebView2, which comes with Windows (without it, the program opens in your default browser instead).
• Free disk space for the tools and your clips. The program's screens are in Thai.

Ads and removing them

Every feature of Clip Downloader is free. It shows a small ad bar at the bottom of the window (one line of text, or a picture of 468×60, 728×90, 970×90 or 320×50, scaled down when the window is narrow) and, when the window is wide enough, an ad box beside the download queue (text, or a 300×250 picture). To remove the ads, ask for a key at contact@freesabai.com, then click ปิดโฆษณา (remove ads) on the bar, paste the key into คีย์ปิดโฆษณา (ad-removal key) and click ใส่คีย์ (enter key). Keys are checked on your computer, without the internet.

Privacy

The links you paste, clip titles and downloaded files stay on your computer and are never sent to freesabai. Clip Downloader sends only a usage report at most once a day (a random ID for the installation, the version, the Windows version, the language, whether a key is in use, and how often ads were shown). The first time it opens, the window shows a notice about this before anything is sent. Switch it off in the middle of the bar at the very bottom of the window by clicking สถิติการใช้งาน: เปิด (usage statistics: on); you then won't be told about new versions, but you can still check yourself under ⚙️ ตั้งค่า (settings) → ตรวจหาเวอร์ชันใหม่ (check for a new version). When you click to update the program, it downloads the new version from freesabai.com and sends nothing else. To install its tools, the program contacts GitHub directly, and to analyse or download a clip, it contacts the site of the link you pasted directly; neither goes through freesabai. Updating and removing

• When there's a new version of Clip Downloader, a button appears at the top of the window. Click it and the program asks first; click อัปเดตเลย (update now) and it downloads the new version from freesabai.com, checks our signature, then closes and starts again by itself. The tools in its bin folder and your settings stay; other files in its folder are only replaced when they are Clip Downloader's own, such as the README.txt from the zip. (Click ดูหน้าดาวน์โหลด, see the download page, if you'd rather download it yourself from the program's download page on freesabai.com.) yt-dlp and FFmpeg are updated separately, with อัปเดต (update) under ⚙️ ตั้งค่า.
• With usage statistics off no button tells you, so check yourself under ⚙️ ตั้งค่า (settings) → ตรวจหาเวอร์ชันใหม่ (check for a new version). If the check fails (for example without internet), the program opens its download page on freesabai.com. The program never looks for or downloads a new version without your click.
• If it can't update itself (for example its folder can't be written to, or the download fails the checks), it opens the program's download page on freesabai.com instead. Older versions without the อัปเดตเลย button are updated the same way: close the program and replace ClipDownloader.exe with the new one. The tools and settings in its folder stay.
• To remove: close the program and delete its folder (the tools, settings and unfinished downloads are in it). What it remembers about this computer is in %LOCALAPPDATA%\ClipDownloader; you can delete that too. If you used version 1.2.1 or older, you can also delete %APPDATA%\ClipDownloader.exe and %USERPROFILE%\.cache\yt-dlp. Clips you downloaded to Videos are not deleted.
