Random pickers and timers

Online stopwatch

Time anything to a hundredth of a second. Press lap at the end of each round, a lap of the track, a practice talk, a quiz question, and see straight away which was fastest and slowest, then copy the laps into your score sheet.

How to use it

  1. Press "Start" or Space and the time runs at once; press again to stop, then "Resume".
  2. While it runs, press "Lap" or L at the end of each round. The table shows that lap's time and the total; the fastest lap is green, the slowest red.
  3. "Copy" to paste into Excel or a chat, or "Save CSV" for a file. "Reset" or R (while stopped) starts over.

Right on time, even in another tab

The time is worked out from your device's clock against the moment you pressed start, not by counting the page's timer ticks, so it stays right when you switch tabs and come back. The tab title shows the seconds while it runs.

Need to count down from a set time instead? Use the countdown timer, and split players before a race with the team generator.

Questions and answers

How accurate is the online stopwatch?

It shows hundredths of a second and measures against the clock from the moment you started, so switching tabs does not throw it off. Real accuracy depends on when you press.

Can I record laps?

Yes. Press Lap or L while running for lap and total times. The fastest and slowest laps are marked, and you can copy them or save a CSV for Excel.

Which keyboard shortcuts are there?

Space starts or stops, L records a lap and R resets while stopped. Full screen makes the digits fill the screen for a projector.
