How to use it
- Press an occasion (Songkran, New Year, Christmas and so on), or type an event name and enter the date yourself. A time is optional; without one the count runs to midnight at the start of that day.
- The page shows the days left and the hours, minutes and seconds ticking live, and how many weeks that is.
- To send it to a friend, press "Copy the link to this event" and paste it into a chat.
How it is worked out
The moment of the chosen date (by your device's clock, midnight at the start of the day if no time is given) minus the current time, split into days, hours, minutes and seconds. The weeks are the days divided by seven, and the remainder is the days left over.
Good to know
- It counts by the clock and time zone of your own device. Someone who opens the link in another country sees midnight there. For a time in one particular zone use the time zone converter.
- The occasion buttons are only the ones on the same date every year. Dates that follow the moon or the weekday (Loy Krathong, Children's Day, Buddhist holy days) you enter yourself, or look up in the calendar with holidays.
- If the date has passed, it says how long ago it was.
- To count the working days between two dates use the date calculator, or set a short timer with the countdown timer.
Nothing is kept
Everything runs in your browser. The event name and date you type are not sent anywhere and not kept: close the page and they are gone. The link you copy is text that you pass on yourself.

How do I count down to Songkran or New Year?
Press the occasion button. The page fills in the next date and counts the time left, ticking every second. Or type your own event name and date.
Can I send the countdown to a friend?
Yes. Press "Copy the link to this event". The link carries the name and date itself, so your friend sees the same countdown and nothing is stored on a server.
Whose time does it count by?
The clock and time zone of the device that opens the page. Without a time it counts to midnight at the start of that day. Use the time zone converter for another country.
