How to use it
- Enter the monthly salary, the year's bonus and other pay from the job, if any. Social security is worked out by itself at 5% up to the year's cap; enter the provident fund percentage if you have one.
- Fill in the allowances you have; the 60,000 personal allowance is taken off by itself. Leave the rest empty or 0.
- Read the tax for the year, the tax a month and the take-home pay. The tables below show where the numbers come from and what each bracket costs.
How it is worked out
Income for the year = salary × 12 + bonus + other pay (section 40(1) income). Less a flat 50% expense deduction up to 100,000 THB. Less the allowances: 60,000 personal, 60,000 spouse, 30,000 a child (60,000 for the second child onward born 2018 or later), 30,000 a parent up to four, social security as paid, the retirement group (provident fund up to 15% of wages, RMF up to 30% of income and 500,000, SSF up to 30% and 200,000, pension insurance up to 15% and 200,000) together up to 500,000, Thai ESG up to 30% and 300,000, life and health insurance together up to 100,000, mortgage interest up to 100,000, then donations up to 10% of what is left: that is the net income.
The brackets: 0–150,000 exempt · 150,001–300,000 5% · 300,001–500,000 10% · 500,001–750,000 15% · 750,001–1,000,000 20% · 1,000,001–2,000,000 25% · 2,000,001–5,000,000 30% · over 5,000,000 35%. Social security in 2569 is 5% of salary up to 17,500 THB (875 THB a month at most); in 2568 up to 15,000 THB (750 THB). Take-home pay = salary − social security − fund − the year's tax ÷ 12.
Good to know
- This is an estimate for planning, not tax advice. Many allowances have further conditions (qualifying insurance, the year's special schemes); the Revenue Department and its e-filing system are what count.
- The tax a month is an average; employers withhold a little differently, especially in a bonus month, while the year's total is the same.
- Income that is not salary (freelance, rent, sales) has its own expense rules and is not covered here. Online sellers can see their profit after fees on the marketplace fee calculator.
- Nothing is sent or kept; close the page and the numbers are gone.

Questions and answers
How is Thai personal income tax for 2569 (2026) worked out?
Take the year's income, deduct 50% expenses (up to 100,000) and the allowances (60,000 personal, social security, funds, insurance) for the net income, then apply the 0–35% brackets. The tool shows each step.
How is the net monthly salary worked out?
Salary less 5% social security (at most 875 baht in 2569), less the provident fund at the % you set, less the tax the employer withholds, spread over the months. Real payslips can differ a little.
Can I file my taxes with these numbers?
They are an estimate for planning, not tax advice. Some allowance ceilings have extra conditions; the Revenue Department (rd.go.th) and its filing system are what count. Nothing is sent or kept.
