Reverse text
Reverse the characters of a text (or of each line or each word), the order of the words, or the order of the lines. It reverses one "character as people see it" at a time, so Thai vowels and tone marks, flags and joined emoji do not break. It runs in your browser and the text is not sent anywhere.
This tool needs JavaScript. If you still see this after a few seconds, JavaScript is switched off in your browser or the page did not load completely: turn JavaScript on or reload the page.
How to use it
- Type or paste the text into the box on the left.
- Choose what to reverse. The result shows at once.
- Press "Copy" or "Download" to take the result.
Frequently asked questions
Do Thai vowels and tone marks stay with their consonants when reversed?
Yes. The tool uses Intl.Segmenter to cut the text into characters as people see them, so a consonant and the vowel and tone marks on it are reversed as one piece and do not come apart into floating marks. Leading vowels such as เ แ โ ไ ใ are separate letters in Unicode, so they land after the consonant when reversed, as the real letters do.
Can it reverse the order of Thai words, which have no spaces?
Roughly. It uses the browser's Thai word breaker (a built-in dictionary) and swaps the words. The result can differ a little from a human's cut for unclear words. Spaces and punctuation stay where they were.
What is the difference between "whole text" and "each line"?
Whole text reverses every character including the order of the lines (the last line comes first, written backwards). Each line reverses the characters of every line but keeps the lines in their order.
Good to know
- A browser too old to have Intl.Segmenter uses a fallback that keeps most marks and emoji together, but not as precisely.
Your data stays on your device
Everything runs in your browser. What you type, paste or open is not sent to freesabai's servers or anyone else's, and is not kept in the browser: close the page and it is gone. The site only counts how many times this page was opened and how many times someone copied or saved a result (never what was pasted or the result, and you can switch the counting off in the footer; see the privacy policy).
