How to convert a PDF to Markdown

Your files stay on your device
This tool opens the file from your device, reads the text in your browser and saves the new file back to your device. Nothing is uploaded, no AI is used and no file is kept.
Good to know
- The structure is a guess. Headings are lines set larger than the body text, paragraphs come from the line spacing, and lists from the marks in front of lines. Pages in columns, tables or formulas can come out in the wrong order or run together. Check it before you use it.
- Pictures are not brought along, only text. Tables do not become Markdown tables (for tables try PDF to Excel).
- A scanned file made of pictures has no text to take: run OCR first.
- A file locked with a password must be unlocked first.
