Split a PDF
Break one PDF into several files: a file per page, every few pages, or by the ranges you want. The page pictures show which file each page goes to.
This tool needs JavaScript. If you still see this after a few seconds, JavaScript is switched off in your browser or the page did not load completely: turn JavaScript on or reload the page.
How to split a PDF
- Choose a PDF file or drop it on the box.
- Pick how to split: every page on its own, so many pages per file, or type the pages of each file. Under each page picture you see which file it goes to.
- Press "Split". Several files come together in one zip file.
Your files stay on your device
This tool opens the file from your device, splits it in your browser's memory and saves the result back to your device. Nothing is uploaded and no file or file name is kept. Your original file is not changed.
Good to know
- Pages are copied as they are: text can still be copied and nothing loses quality.
- The files in the zip are named after their pages, such as report-pages-1-3.pdf.
- To get just some pages as one file, use Extract pages.
- Files locked with a password need to be unlocked first. Very large files may be slow on older phones.
