How to sign a PDF

1. Choose a PDF file or drop it on the box.
2. Draw your signature in the box, or choose "Use a picture".
3. Open the page to sign, press "Place the signature on this page", drag it where it belongs and set its size.
4. Press "Save as a new PDF".

Your files stay on your device

This tool opens the file from your device, places the signature in your browser's memory and saves the new file back to your device. Neither the document nor the signature is uploaded, and nothing is kept: close the page and a signature you drew is gone.

Good to know

• The signature is a picture placed on the page. It is not a digital signature: nothing proves who signed, and nothing shows whether the file was changed afterwards. Anyone who has the file can copy the picture, so sign only documents meant for that person, and consider adding the date or what it is for (see Watermark).
• A placed signature becomes part of the new file and cannot be taken off; if it lands in the wrong place, start again from your original file (which is not changed).
• On turned pages the signature is upright as you see the page.
• Files locked with a password need to be unlocked first.
