KDP interior PDF maker

Choose the trim size, the number of pages and the page type (lined, dot grid, graph, planner, habit tracker, blank) and get a PDF whose pages are the exact size, with the inside margin from Amazon KDP's gutter table, flipped from side to side on odd and even pages, ready to upload.

How to use it

  1. Choose the trim size you will set in KDP (6 × 9 in is the popular one), enter the number of pages and pick the page type.
  2. Tick "With bleed" if your pages print to the edge. For lines or dots inside the normal margins, leave it off.
  3. Press "Make the PDF" and upload the file to KDP as the manuscript.

How it is worked out

Each page is exactly the trim size (plus 0.125 in on the outside and 0.25 in top and bottom with bleed). The inside margin (gutter) follows KDP's table: 24–150 pages 0.375 in, 151–300 0.5, 301–500 0.625, 501–600 0.75, 601 and over 0.875. We add another 0.25 in so nothing sinks into the spine. The outside, top and bottom margins are 0.5 in. An odd page is the right-hand page of a spread, so its spine side is on the left; an even page is the opposite. Pages that repeat share their content inside the file, so even 800 pages stay small.

Good to know

Your files stay on your device

Everything runs in your browser. What you choose and the PDF it makes is not sent to freesabai's server or anyone else's, and nothing is kept in the browser: close the page and it is gone. The site only counts that this page was opened and how many times a result was saved (never the file name or content; you can turn counting off at the bottom of the site, see the privacy policy).

Questions and answers

What size do I choose for a KDP notebook interior?

The same trim size you will set in KDP, such as 6 × 9 in. The pages in the file are exactly that size, so nothing needs scaling.

How wide is the inside margin?

It follows KDP's gutter table by page count, for example 0.375 in for 24 to 150 pages, and we add 0.25 in more. It flips sides on odd and even pages.

Do I need bleed?

Not if nothing prints to the page edge. The lines and dots here stay inside the margins. Tick bleed when your own pages run to the edge.
