ICS calendar to CSV / Excel
Exported a calendar from Google Calendar or Outlook and need a list of the appointments in Excel, for a report or to count meetings? Open the .ics here and save a CSV that Excel opens with Thai intact. It runs in your browser; the calendar is not sent anywhere.
Getting the tool ready…This tool needs JavaScript. If you still see this after a few seconds, JavaScript is switched off in your browser or the page did not load completely: turn JavaScript on or reload the page.
How to use it
- Export the calendar: in Google Calendar go to Settings, Import & export, Export (you get a .zip; unzip it for the .ics files); in Outlook save the calendar as an iCalendar (.ics) file.
- Choose the .ics file, pick the time zone and, if you want, a date range; the first 50 events show in the table.
- Press "Save the CSV" and open it in Excel or Google Sheets.
Good to know
- Columns: subject, start, end, all day, location, description, organizer and repeats. Dates are written YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM; all-day events only have the date, and the end is the last day of the event (an .ics stores the day after).
- Times stored in UTC or with a time zone are converted to the zone you pick (this device's by default, or Thailand time, or UTC). Times without a zone are shown as written.
- A repeating event is one row (its first time) with the rule in words, such as "Weekly, on Monday" or "Monthly, on the first Monday"; it is not expanded into a row per time, and dates removed from the series (EXDATE) or moved instances are not applied.
- The date range keeps one-off events that start in it and repeating events whose run overlaps it.
- Only events (VEVENT) go into the CSV; to-dos (VTODO) and journal entries (VJOURNAL) are counted and named. Attendees and reminders are not included.
Your data stays on your device
A calendar is personal: who you meet, where and when. Everything runs in your browser: the file is not sent to freesabai's server or anyone else's, and nothing is kept in the browser; close the page and it is gone. The site only counts that this page was opened and how many times a result was saved (never the file name or content; you can turn counting off at the bottom of the site, see the privacy policy).

Questions and answers
Can I export Google Calendar to Excel?
Yes. In Google Calendar open Settings, Import and export, Export, and unzip the download to get the .ics files. Open one here and save a CSV that Excel opens.
The times are off from Thai time. What do I do?
Pick Thailand time (Asia/Bangkok) under Show times in. Times stored in UTC or with a zone are converted; times the file stores without a zone are shown as written.
How many rows does a weekly meeting give?
One row, its first time, with the Repeats column saying the rule in words, such as Weekly, on Monday, 10 times. The tool does not expand it into a row per meeting.
