How to use it

  1. Pick the kind of sheet: count the money (2 to 7 coins and notes in each row, the total to write), make change (a price and the note it is paid with, the change to write), or make the price (a price given, the child writes which coins and notes make it).
  2. Pick the amounts for the class: up to 20 baht uses coins and the 20 note only, up to 100 or up to 1,000 baht. Tick "Satang too" for the 25 and 50 satang coins. The sheet appears on the right at once; "New random sheet" gives another.
  3. Press "Print / Save as PDF". The answer key is the last page, as number sentences such as 100 + 20 + 5 + 2 = 127 baht.

Questions and answers

Are the coins and notes pictures of real money?

No. They are simple drawings of our own: a coin is a circle with its value, a note a rounded rectangle with its value, in the real colours on screen and as outlines in print. Nothing is copied from real banknotes.

Which coins and notes are there?

Coins of 1, 2, 5 and 10 baht and notes of 20, 50, 100, 500 and 1,000 baht. Tick Satang too for the 25 and 50 satang coins and prices ending in .25, .50 or .75. Amounts go up to 20, 100 or 1,000 baht.

How is change paid?

With one note worth more than the price (the smallest that covers it, or the next one), so the change is never zero. The key writes 100 − 37 = 63 baht. For making a price, the key gives the answer with the fewest pieces.
