Maze generator
A new maze every time you press the button: small for little children, medium, or large for older ones. Every maze has exactly one way from the entrance to the exit, and the answer page draws it.

The sheet you make is yours: use it in class, print and sell it or sell the file, no credit needed. Everything is made in your browser; nothing is sent anywhere or kept.
How to use it
- Pick the size and how many mazes per page. The maze appears on the right at once; "New random sheet" gives another.
- Press "Print / Save as PDF". The answer key is the last page: a dashed line from the entrance to the exit.
Good to know
- The entrance is at the top left and the exit at the bottom right (marked In and Out). Every cell can be reached, and between any two points there is exactly one way, with no loops, so there is one solution.
- The mazes are carved by a random walk that backs up when stuck (a depth-first backtracker): the way through tends to be long and winding, with many short dead ends. The large 20 × 20 suits older children and adults.
- The walls print as thick black lines with room for a pencil down the middle. With two mazes to a page each is half the size, so print the large ones one to a page.
- Nothing is saved: a maze is gone when you close the page. For another brain game, try the sudoku maker.

Questions and answers
Does every maze have just one way out?
Yes. Every cell can be reached and there is exactly one way between any two points, with no loops. The entrance is at the top left, the exit at the bottom right, and the answer page draws the way.
What are the sizes?
Small is 10 × 10 cells for little children, medium 15 × 15, and large 20 × 20 for older children and adults. Print one or two to a page.
How many mazes can I make?
As many as you like: every press of New random sheet gives a new one. Print it or save the PDF before closing the page, since nothing is saved.
