Word scramble maker
Type your words, one per line, and each one comes back with its letters in another order for the children to unscramble, with a line to write the answer on. Thai words are mixed by cluster, a consonant with its vowel and tone marks, so every piece still reads. Good for spelling practice.

The sheet you make is yours: use it in class, print and sell it or sell the file, no credit needed. Everything is made in your browser; the words are not sent anywhere or kept, and they are gone when you close the page.
How to use it
- Type 3-30 words, one per line. The sheet appears on the right at once: every item shows the scrambled letters and a line for the answer.
- Press "New random sheet" for another scramble of the same words. Change the title on the sheet as you like.
- Press "Print / Save as PDF". The answer key is the last page (untick it to leave it out).
Good to know
- Thai words are scrambled by cluster: a consonant always keeps the vowel above or below it and its tone mark ("เก้าอี้" becomes the pieces เ ก้ า อี้), while the vowels written before or after a consonant are pieces of their own. The pieces are spaced so they are easy to tell apart.
- A scrambled word is never the word itself. Words that cannot be scrambled (one piece, or the same letter repeated) are left out and named; repeated words are dropped; a word with a space is joined.
- Short words of two or three pieces can be put in order in more than one way. The key gives the word you typed; if a scramble happens to spell another real word, you may want to accept both.
- Nothing is saved: the list is gone when you close the page. The same list also makes a word search.

Questions and answers
Do Thai vowels come loose when a word is scrambled?
No. Words are scrambled by cluster: a consonant always keeps the vowel above or below it and its tone mark, while the vowels written before or after a consonant are pieces of their own. The pieces are spaced apart.
Can a scrambled word come out as the word itself?
No. Every word is mixed until it differs from the original. Words that cannot be scrambled, such as one-piece words or a repeated letter, are left out and named.
How many words can I use?
3 to 30, one per line. Every item has a line to write the answer on, and the answer key gives the right word for each.
