Hundreds chart

A hundreds chart from 1 to 100 (or 0-99, 1-120, 101-200): full for the wall, blank for children to write themselves, or with missing numbers at the share you choose. Shade skip counting by 2, 5 or 10 or the even numbers, print one or two charts to a page, with an answer key.

How to use it

  1. Choose the range and the kind of chart. It appears on the right at once; with missing numbers, "New random sheet" leaves out a new set of cells.
  2. To teach skip counting, shade by 2, 5 or 10: the multiples turn light grey. To teach odd and even, tick the even numbers.
  3. Press "Print / Save as PDF". Blank charts and charts with missing numbers get the full chart as the answer key on the last page (untick it to leave it out).

Questions and answers

How are the missing numbers chosen?

At random, at the share you pick: 30% of 100 cells leaves 30 blanks. The cells change every time you press New random sheet, and two charts on one page leave out different cells. The key is the full chart.

Does the shading print?

Yes. The shading is drawn into the chart as light grey, not as a page background, so it prints even when the browser is set not to print backgrounds, and the numbers stay readable in black and white.

What are the 1-120 and 101-200 charts for?

The 1-120 chart has twelve rows for curricula that count to 120. The 101-200 chart practises three-digit numbers with the same patterns as a hundreds chart, such as finding the number ten more.
