Multiple choice test maker
Type the test as plain text: a question on a line, its choices one a line, a star before the right one. You get a test lettered A B C D with the questions and choices shuffled, in one or two versions so neighbours cannot copy, with a bubble answer sheet and a key for each version.
Getting the tool ready…This tool needs JavaScript. If this message stays for more than a few seconds, JavaScript is turned off or the page did not load completely: turn JavaScript on or reload the page.
The sheet you make is yours: use it in class, print and sell it or sell the file, no credit needed. Everything is made in your browser; the text you type is not sent anywhere or kept, so it is gone when you close the page. Keep a copy in a file of your own to use it again.
How to use it
- Type a question on one line and its choices on the lines under it, one a line, with a star (*) before the right one (one per question). Leave a blank line before the next question. Do not type A. B. or question numbers; the sheet adds them.
- Choose what to shuffle, the letters (A B C D or the Thai ก ข ค ง), and one or two versions. Tick "Separate answer sheet" for a page of bubbles to fill in.
- Press "Print / Save as PDF". The key is on the last page, per version (untick it to print for the class).
Good to know
- A question typed the wrong way (no star, two stars, a single choice) is left out and its line number shown so you can fix it. Each question takes 2 to 6 choices, up to 60 questions.
- With two versions, version B is always shuffled differently from A (with nothing shuffled both are the same). Version B starts on a new page with its own name line; the key gives the letter and the text of each answer.
- "New random order" shuffles again. With "Nothing" the test keeps the order you typed. Short choices are set in two columns to save paper.
- Nothing is saved: close the page and the test is gone, so keep the text in a file of your own. For written answers try the short answer test or fill in the blank.

Questions and answers
How do I type the test?
A question on one line, its choices on the lines under it, a star before the right one, and a blank line before the next question. Do not type A. B. or numbers; the sheet adds them.
How do the two versions differ?
Version A and version B shuffle the questions and choices in different ways, as you choose. Version B starts on a new page with its own name line, and the key is given per version.
What happens to a question typed the wrong way?
A question with no star, two stars or a single choice is left out, and the page shows its line number so you can fix it. The other questions are still made.
