How to use it
- Pick the level and how many puzzles per page. The sudoku appears on the right at once; "New random sheet" gives another.
- Press "Print / Save as PDF". The answer key is the last page: the given digits in bold, the filled-in ones lighter.
Good to know
- The rules: fill in 1 to 9 so that every row, every column and every 3×3 box holds each digit exactly once.
- Every puzzle starts from a complete solution; digits are then taken out one at a time, and a digit stays out only while the puzzle still has a single solution (the solver in the page counts up to two). So every puzzle can be solved by reasoning, without guessing.
- The level is the number of empty cells (30 / 45 / 55). At the hard level it is sometimes impossible to take out 55 digits while keeping one solution; the page then gives as many as it can (about 50 or more). Two puzzles with the same number of blanks can still differ in how hard they feel.
- Nothing is saved: a puzzle is gone when you close the page, so print it or save the PDF first. For another brain game, try the maze maker.

Questions and answers
Does every sudoku really have one solution?
Yes. Each puzzle starts from a complete grid, and digits are taken out one at a time only while the puzzle keeps a single solution, so it can be solved by reasoning alone.
What is the difference between easy, medium and hard?
The number of empty cells: 30, 45 and 55. At the hard level it is not always possible to empty 55 cells and keep one solution; the page then empties as many as it can.
How many puzzles fit on a page?
One or two. The answer key is the last page, with the given digits in bold and the filled-in ones lighter.
